Public alpha
Privacy
Last updated August 31, 2026
Dished Between Us is an invite-only recipe-sharing app. This page describes the information the public alpha uses and the controls currently available.
Information used by the app
- Google sign-in provides your account identifier, name, and email address.
- The app stores your table memberships and the recipes, images, notes, invitations, favorites, and notification state you create or use.
- Basic technical records—such as IP address, browser or device signals, request time, and errors—may be processed when Firebase hosts the app, authenticates you, checks for abuse, stores data, or runs app functions.
Who can see what
- A table’s host can see the Google name and email address of each member at that table.
- Table members can see recipes, contributor names, and table notes shared with that table.
- Tables are not public. Invitation links are bearer links: any person who has a pending link and signs in with a verified Google account can inspect and accept or decline that invitation.
- External recipe photos load automatically from the outside image host. Loading a photo or opening an external recipe link shares connection information, including your IP address, with that outside site and is governed by its privacy practices.
Retention and table controls
Leaving a table or being removed ends your access, but recipes and notes you added can remain available to that table. The host can moderate retained recipe placements and notes. A host cannot leave or transfer a table during the public alpha; after every other member is removed, the host can delete the table and its table data from the app.
Signing out does not delete your account or content. The public alpha does not yet provide an automated account export or account-deletion button.
Account data requests and support
To request a copy or deletion of your account data, ask a privacy question, or get support, email morganlhart@gmail.com. Requests are handled manually and may require verification that you control the Google account involved.
Service provider
The public alpha uses Google Firebase services for authentication, database storage, file storage, hosting, and app functions. Firebase App Check uses reCAPTCHA Enterprise to evaluate browser and device signals and help block automated abuse; Google processes the related technical data as the service provider.
